MASHANTUCKET, Conn. – Foxwoods Resort Casino opened a gaming floor given over to experimental casino technology inside The Fox Tower, putting Bubble Craps and a Mega Big Six Wheel at the center of the electronic lineup.
Four Interblock Games, A Slot Wall And Four Carnival Tables
Foxwoods stocked the zone with Interblock, the electronic table game maker, and casts the property as one of the first outside Las Vegas to give a room over to experimental gaming, Indian Gaming reported Monday.
Interblock’s four are Cosmic Crash, Showtime Frenzy, Battle for Earth and Destroyer: Naval Strike. The slot wall runs to Aristocrat, IGT and Light & Wonder, with Thunder Empire and a pair of Spooky Link cabinets from the first, a Wheel of Fortune Superspin from the second, and Huff n Triple Puff from the third.
Bubble Craps and the Mega Big Six Wheel make up the electronic gaming bank. The four live tables are Chase the Flush, Double Hook Poker, Party Pair and Battle 1-2-3, all of them carnival games rather than pit staples.
Craps Is The One Game In The Room That Prices Cheap
Bubble Craps is ordinary craps run through a cabinet, real dice tumbling under a clear dome with the bets placed on a screen. The furniture changes and the pass line does not.
A pass line bet on its own carries a 1.41% house edge, or about $1.41 in expected loss for every $100 the line takes in. Backing it with free odds dilutes that number, with double odds bringing the combined figure to about 0.61% and the common 3-4-5x cap taking it to roughly 0.37%.
Free odds do that by paying at true odds, which is why craps’ only zero-edge wager is also the one with no box of its own on the layout.
What the machines along the same wall hold is nowhere on the floor. A slot’s hold is set title by title and lives on a par sheet the player never sees, while the 1.41% on the pass line is fixed and reads the same at every table in the country. The cabinet’s bet menu is the standard one, the same pass, come and free odds structure carried by legal online craps tables.
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun remain the only two properties offering legal craps in Connecticut, which makes any change to the table lineup at either one a live question for players in the state.
Connecticut’s 25% Cut Stops At The Slots
Connecticut receives 25% of each casino’s slot win, and the payment covers video facsimile machines only. Live table games sit outside it, so the new slot wall in The Innovation Zone feeds the state budget and the four tables beside it do not.
Foxwoods said more games and interactive experiences will be added to the room over the coming weeks and months.
