Louisiana Casino Revenue Hits $212.5M As Table Floors Lead

  • Louisiana casinos and racetrack slot rooms won $212.5 million in July, up 7%, with $43.9 million owed in fees and taxes.
  • The 15 riverboats and Caesars New Orleans, the commercial floors with live table games, grew 7.6% from July 2025.
  • Caesars New Orleans posted the largest dollar gain of any property, up 21.7% to $25.9 million.
  • Lake Charles stayed the biggest market at $62.6 million, led by L’Auberge Lake Charles at $28.6 million.

BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana casino revenue reached $212.5 million in July, up 7% from a year earlier, and the 16 commercial properties that deal live table games grew nearly three times as fast as the state’s slots-only racetrack casinos, according to monthly summaries posted by the Louisiana State Police.

Table-Game Floors Outgrow The Slots-Only Tracks

The 15 riverboat casinos won $159.5 million in July, up 5.6% from July 2025 but down 3.3% from June, according to the State Police riverboat activity summary. Caesars New Orleans, the state’s only land-based commercial casino, won $25.9 million, up 21.7% from a year earlier and 3% from June. The four racetrack slot facilities, which are licensed for slot machines only, won $27 million, up 2.7% year over year.

Together the riverboats and Caesars New Orleans won $185.5 million, a 7.6% gain over July 2025. Those 16 floors are the only commercial casinos where legal craps in Louisiana deals with real dice, so the split between them and the racetracks is the closest published measure of where table play sits: the State Police summaries report each property’s total gaming win without separating table games from slots.

Tribal casinos, which also deal table games, are not included in the reports the agency files with the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. Louisiana has no regulated online casino play, so the figures reflect in-person win alone; the market for legal online craps sits outside the state’s licensing system.

Lake Charles Leads, Baton Rouge Grows Fastest

Lake Charles remained the state’s largest riverboat market at $62.6 million, up 7% from July 2025. L’Auberge Lake Charles led every boat in the state at $28.6 million, up 17.1% year over year, and Golden Nugget Lake Charles followed at $26.9 million.

The three Baton Rouge-area boats grew 11% to $24.6 million, the fastest rate of the four riverboat markets. The six Shreveport-Bossier boats won $47.3 million, up 2.6% from a year earlier but 7.2% below June, and the three New Orleans-area boats won $24.9 million, up 3.3%.

August Figures Are The Next Release

The July summaries cover the first month of the state’s 2026-27 fiscal year, and the riverboat total starts that year 6% ahead of the July 2025 pace. Sports wagering and video gaming revenue are reported separately. The August summaries are the State Police’s next scheduled release.
