Two $1M Table-Game Jackpots Hit In The Same Week

  • A Grand Sierra Resort guest won a $1,111,111.11 Triple Diamond progressive on a 10-9-8 straight in Three Card Poker.
  • A royal flush in Crazy 4 Poker paid a Caesars Virginia player $1,018,562 one day before the Reno weekend began.
  • The Danville payout is the first table-game jackpot over $1 million in Caesars Virginia history.

RENO, Nev. – Two million-dollar table-game jackpots hit at U.S. casinos in a three-day span, with a Grand Sierra Resort guest winning a $1,111,111.11 Three Card Poker progressive over the Aug. 15-16 weekend, a day after a Crazy 4 Poker player took $1,018,562 at Caesars Virginia on Aug. 14.

A Straight Worth Seven Figures In Reno

James J. Jr. of Salinas, Calif., was dealt a 10-9-8 straight at a Three Card Poker table and collected the full $1,111,111.11 Triple Diamond progressive, Reno’s 2 News reported. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this life-changing jackpot win with one of our guests,” said Christopher Abraham, the resort’s chief marketing officer.

The size of the pool is the whole story of a progressive side bet: the fixed pay table never changes, so the height of the meter at the moment the hand lands decides whether the same dollar wager returns thousands or seven figures. The math sits at the opposite pole from the table’s flat wagers – the free odds bet is craps’ only zero-edge wager, while a progressive meter is the highest-variance bet on any legal craps or carnival-game floor.

Danville’s First Table-Game Millionaire

A day before the Reno weekend began, a player identified as Jose G. drew a royal flush in Crazy 4 Poker at Caesars Virginia in Danville and won $1,018,562, the casino announced. It is the first table-game jackpot in the Danville property’s history to clear $1 million. General manager Chris Albrecht called the win “truly one for the record books.”

Caesars Virginia opened its permanent facility in December 2024; a meter needing 20 months to build past seven figures says the royal simply had not landed there before – Crazy 4 Poker’s progressive pays its full pool only on that one five-card hand.

What Happens Next

Both meters reset after the hits and are rebuilding from their base values, funded by a slice of every progressive wager placed at linked tables. Neither property has said how long the new pools will take to climb back toward seven figures.
