- Nevada craps tables are seeing their share drop from 8.55% in 2021 down to 7.73% by 2025, showing a clear shift in what players want.
- The game made over $2.75 billion but poker and baccarat are blowing up way more with younger people.
- Casino owners are now wondering if craps can still be the exciting centerpiece it used to be or if this decline is here to stay.
LAS VEGAS — Nevada’s November revenue report shows that craps is taking up less of the table games action across the state, even though casinos overall are still raking in plenty of cash.
The statistics provide a very accurate picture of the conditions on casino floors. Craps only accounted for 7.73% of all table game handles in 2025, a decrease from 8.55% the previous year. It's not a one-year problem either. The deterioration has been getting worse since 2021 and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
In 2023, the game retained 7.93% of the action, indicating a slow but continuous decline. Casino officials observe this kind of development and begin to inquire about what players actually want these days.
Nevada Revenue Numbers Paint Mixed Picture
Here's where things get a bit complicated though. The Nevada craps casinos still brought in more than $2.75 billion in handle during 2025. The problem is that other games are growing way faster and stealing the spotlight.

Craps remained in that 7-8% area for months on end in 2025. In contrast to previous years, when legal craps consistently accounted for more than 8% of all table game activity, it hardly ever broke through that ceiling. These decreased numbers are consistent, indicating that this isn't merely a passing trend.
The atmosphere at the table has always been what makes craps unique. It's loud, social, and gets people hyped up in a way most casino games don't. However, younger players appear to be selecting different experiences.
The fight for players' attention is intense, whether it's electronic options, baccarat, or poker variations. The evidence thus far does not appear to be very promising for the game's typical function as the focal point of a casino.
