  • It is expected to open on April 28th and create over 2,000 jobs.

NEW YORK – History will be made on April 28th as Resorts World is set to open New York City’s first-ever table games casino near JFK in Jamaica, Queens, by the Aqueduct Race Track.

The casino will include legal craps, blackjack, baccarat, and roulette to go along with thousands of slot machines. In total, there are expected to be well over 240 table games made up of all the casino classics.

The new state-of-the-art New York craps casino will have an immediate impact on the economy, creating more than 2,200 jobs.

"New York City has never seen anything like what we're planning for April 28. Once the Gaming Commission's final testing is complete, live table games will be open and operating right here in Queens for the first time in the history of New York City. We are ready to welcome New Yorkers to this exciting new experience," said Robert DeSalvio, President of Genting Americas East. "Resorts World now employs over 2,200 Team Members and has already doubled our workforce and expects thousands more Team Members as the integrated resort is developed over the next three years. This is a transformational moment for Resorts World New York City, and we cannot wait to share it with our fellow New Yorkers."

The launch on April 28 will be just the soft launch of an even bigger project that will create a total of 2,700 new jobs, and the table game total will rise to 950.
