  • Casino Night on February 7th offers table games and a Grand Canyon raffle to support Sedona Red Rock Jr/Sr High School.
  • $50 tickets include $500 in chips, food, entertainment, a raffle entry, and childcare for ages three and up.

SEDONA, Ariz. – The Scorpion Booster Club is bringing legal casino entertainment back to the Sedona Performing Arts Center on February 7th for their seventh annual Casino Night fundraiser. The event offers attendees the chance to play classic table games including craps, blackjack, poker, and roulette while competing for prizes that include a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Each individual must pay $50 to participate, which includes $500 in chips for the tables, all of the food, entertainment all night long, and one raffle entry. Every dollar raised goes straight to supporting extracurricular and co-curricular activities at Sedona Red Rock Jr/Sr High School. The event will begin at 6:00 PM and go till 10:00 PM. An extra $500 worth of chips are available for twenty dollars to anyone who wants to continue playing.

Prize Structure and Raffle Details

The Grand Canyon getaway stands out as the main draw among all the raffle baskets on offer. Those wanting to bypass the gaming tables entirely have the option to grab extra raffle entries right from the booth at $20 per ticket. Every person who purchases admission gets one entry included, and there's a chance to score additional entries by cashing out $500 in chips before heading home.

Although legal craps games are limited by Arizona law to tribal casino establishments, community fundraisers like this one allow individuals to experience the thrill of rolling dice without the financial risk. Experienced card players as well as complete beginners come to try their luck at the gaming tables in a laid-back atmosphere.

In addition to the raffle prizes, there will be a silent auction with about a hundred different items up for bid. Spa day packages, sports collectibles, and useful gains like a full set of tires are all included in the assortment. Baseball lovers can bid on pieces associated with luminaries Ernie Banks and Brooks Robinson, while football fans will see authenticated memorabilia from NFL hall of famers John Elway and Earl Campbell.

Since the start of the benefit seven years ago, Melissa Cristallo Schrader has led Casino Night. The event, which falls between the end of the holidays and the start of the film festival season, has made a name for itself in Sedona's early February social scene and legal craps sites in Arizona, according to Booster Club President Matt Corney.

Tickets come with food and desserts, but beer from Oak Creek Brewery and wine from Page Spring Cellars are extra. Local guitarist Alex Ogburn and the Sedona Red Rock Advanced Orchestra will perform live that evening. Free babysitting and childcare services are also provided to children three and up with parental sign-up before the event.
